This event is organized as part of the "Global Mingle" program operated by the association, with support from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. The aim is to promote the overseas expansion of domestic bio companies and to discover opportunities for global collaboration.

This year marks the third edition of the partnering event, which will feature participation from global research and development organizations, including the partnering group at Roche headquarters, Genentech Research, Basel Roche Headquarters Research, and the Shanghai Innovation Center. Nadia Haq, Head of Research Technologies at Genentech, will visit Korea in person to hold one-on-one face-to-face partnering meetings with domestic companies, including discussions on technology transfer.

The key areas of collaboration are: ▲ Oncology ▲ Cardio Metabolic Disease ▲ Neuroscience ▲ Ophthalmology ▲ Research Technologies ▲ Immunology. Companies possessing innovative technologies in these fields will be prioritized for collaboration.

Izat Azem, CEO of Roche Korea, stated, "As Korea's bio ecosystem is gaining attention as an engine for future innovation, Roche has high expectations for partnerships with Korean companies to accelerate innovation for patients worldwide. Through this program, Roche Korea will continue to support the connection between Korea's innovative technologies and Roche's global network, providing a springboard for global expansion, and aims to become a key partner contributing to the growth of Korea's bio ecosystem."

Lee Seungkyu, Vice Chairman of the Korea Bio Association, said, "Since Roche is coming to Korea to directly discover innovative technologies, this will be a valuable opportunity for domestic bio companies to discuss technology transfer and joint research with a global pharmaceutical company. The Korea Bio Association will continue to organize various partnering programs to help domestic companies achieve tangible results in the global market."

Applications for participating companies will be accepted via email until the 17th. Further details can be found on the Korea Bio Association website notice.
