Public Lecture on "Utilizing Jungwon Cultural Heritage" at Tangeum Park in Chungju

Introduction to Local Cultural Heritage Utilization Cases and Hands-on Programs

On September 23, a public lecture introducing the utilization and value of cultural heritage in the Jungwon region will be held at Seonjam Cafe near Tangeum Park in Chungju. Hosted by the National Jungwon Institute of Cultural Heritage under the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage of the National Heritage Administration, the event will be held under the theme "Our Jungwon Story."

First Half Year Public Lecture 'Korean Cultural Heritage Digital Project'

Since 2017, the National Jungwon Institute of Cultural Heritage has operated educational programs for local residents, continuously raising interest in cultural heritage and providing opportunities for communication with citizens. In particular, during the first half of the year, Professor Park Jin-ho from Korea University received an enthusiastic response for his lecture, "Korean Cultural Heritage Digital Project," which covered cases of cultural heritage restoration using digital technology.

This lecture will invite Kim Jae-hong, director of the Korea Cultural Heritage Research Center, who directly plans and operates cultural heritage utilization projects in the field. Participants will hear about various ongoing projects and programs in the Chungju area, allowing them to connect the historical and social significance of cultural heritage with real-life experiences.

Any citizen interested in cultural heritage can participate, and approximately twenty-five participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through telephone registration starting at 9 a.m. on September 10.
