Chairman Seo Yooseok of the Korea Financial Investment Association Discusses Financial Cooperation with CEO of the National Stock Exchange of India

On September 8, Seo Yooseok, Chairman of the Korea Financial Investment Association, met with Ashish Kumar Chauhan, CEO of the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), to discuss ways to enhance mutual understanding and expand exchanges between the financial investment industries of both countries. Nishikant Singh, Deputy Ambassador of the Embassy of India in Korea, was also present.


The meeting was organized to share the growth journey of NSE, India’s largest stock exchange, and its experience in building the Indian capital market ecosystem, as well as to broadly exchange the latest trends in the financial investment markets of both countries.


During the meeting, NSE introduced the development process of the Indian capital market, its digital innovation, and its experience in broadening the investor base. The Embassy of India in Korea expressed its expectations for the continued expansion of exchanges in the financial and investment sectors between the two countries. Both sides agreed to maintain a close cooperative relationship going forward.


Chairman Seo Yooseok stated, "The Indian capital market has significant growth potential and abundant investment opportunities, supported by robust real economic growth and a rapidly expanding investor base." He added, "Both Korea and India have developed based on dynamic and innovative financial infrastructure. I hope this meeting will serve as an opportunity to further broaden exchanges and deepen mutual understanding between the financial investment industries of both countries."
