535 Consultations Held Over Three Days...
Demonstrating Potential for Local Market Entry
Fabulous, Aurora World, and Others Sign MOUs
The Korea Creative Content Agency and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on September 8 that domestic content companies achieved approximately 19.36 million dollars (about 26.9 billion won) in business consultations at the 'K-Content Expo in Turkey,' which was held at the Halic Congress Center in Istanbul for three days starting from September 3.
The event was attended by thirty leading Korean content companies, including Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation, KBS Media, and Kakao Entertainment. They conducted 535 consultation sessions with eighty-five companies from four European and Middle Eastern countries, including France, Kuwait, and Morocco. Some companies, such as Fabulous, Aurora World, and PHENM, signed content export memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with local companies, demonstrating the potential for tangible market entry.
This achievement demonstrates that K-Content has established competitiveness not only as a cultural export but also in the global business sector. Programs held alongside the export consultation sessions, such as K-Drama OST performances and networking events, also attracted significant attention from local stakeholders and visitors.
Yoo Hyunseok, Acting President of the Korea Creative Content Agency, stated, "The results of these consultations once again prove the global growth potential of K-Content," adding, "With the opening of the Turkey Business Center, we will strengthen cooperation with local companies and actively support the overseas expansion of domestic companies."
The Korea Creative Content Agency plans to accelerate its global market expansion by holding another K-Content Expo in Warsaw, Poland, in November.
