Daegu Cyber University (President Lee Geunyong) successfully held the "2025 DCU Autumn Festival: Curious About Your Autumn," a gathering for communication and unity among current students and alumni, on September 6 at the Daegu University College of Business auditorium and Sarang Square.
The event was co-hosted by Daegu Cyber University and the 24th Student Council. Current students, alumni, faculty, and staff attended, enjoying the autumn atmosphere and spending a day filled with laughter and inspiration.
The festival began with the opening ceremony, followed by a welcome address, congratulatory remarks, and a special lecture by Professor Jaeseung Jeong of KAIST titled "Reflecting on the Future of Education through Neuroscience." The second part featured a variety of programs, including the "The President Treats You" event, recreational performances and activities, department talent shows, and the closing ceremony.
In particular, Professor Jaeseung Jeong (Department of Brain and Cognitive Science and Dean of the School of Convergence Studies at KAIST) delivered a well-received lecture on "Reflecting on Happiness through Neuroscience," which explored the structure and functions of the brain, understanding emotions and consciousness, and ways to lead a happy life.

Additionally, through the pre-event "Autumn, Leaving Footsteps of Questions," a Q&A session was held, and Professor Jeong gifted his book "Twelve Footsteps" to twelve selected students, creating a meaningful opportunity to share knowledge and insight.
During the "The President Treats You" event at Sarang Square, President Lee Geunyong personally handed out ice cream to students, offering words of encouragement and support, which was met with enthusiastic applause. The event continued with recreational activities and department talent shows, including singing and dance performances, filling the venue with students' passion and laughter.

Park Sanguk, president of the 24th Student Council (Department of Korean Language and Multicultural Studies), shared, "I hope this autumn festival becomes a place where everyone comes together as one, expressing their passion and communicating freely."
President Lee Geunyong said during the opening ceremony, "I hope this autumn festival will be a meaningful time for warm exchanges among students, professors, and alumni."
For students who could not attend in person, the festival was broadcast live through the official Daegu Cyber University YouTube channel.
