"Industrial Complex Week" Runs Until September 14
Production Hubs Transform into Spaces for Culture and Communication
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced on September 8 that it will operate "Industrial Complex Week" until September 14 in celebration of "Industrial Complex Day 2025" (September 14), hosting a variety of cultural events at industrial complexes nationwide.
Industrial Complex Week is designed as a cultural festival where workers, businesspeople, and citizens come together, reflecting on the 61-year history of industrial complexes that have driven Korea's industrialization. Exhibitions, performances, and hands-on events will be held at various industrial complexes across the country, transforming these production hubs into spaces for culture and communication.
In Incheon, the "Bupyeong National Industrial Complex 60th Anniversary Historical Photo Exhibition" will take place. Through a display of 24 panels depicting five eras-birth, leap, sacrifice, change, and transition-the exhibition showcases the transformation and future of the Bupyeong Industrial Complex over the past 60 years.
In Seoul, the "2nd G-Valley Art Show" will be held at Aquapick, located in the Gasan Digital Complex, until November 8. Under the theme "Discovering Myself in Paintings," three special exhibitions will be organized: "The Voice of Youth," "Artificial Intelligence (AI) Art & AI Video Advertising Exhibition," and "Embracing the Digital with Heart." These exhibitions will offer an artistic experience that combines the experimental works of young artists with advanced technology. In the Guro Digital Complex, "G-Valley Movie Day," which supports workers and their families to enjoy movies together, will be held twice this month, on September 8 and 17.
In the Gyeongnam region, customized on-site programs have been prepared. On September 8, the "Healing Truck," a mobile cafe, will provide desserts and coffee to workers at the Sacheon Industrial Complex. On September 9, the "K-Defense Industry Accompanying Road" and the "Traveling Culture Delivery" concert will be held at the Changwon Industrial Complex, with participation from the Nonsan National Defense Industry Development Citizens' Committee. On September 12, a busking performance featuring worker clubs will take place.
In addition, various programs such as after-work cultural concerts, Healing Truck cafes, and photo contests will be held at industrial complexes across the country, offering workers and citizens opportunities to enjoy culture in their daily lives.
Lee Sanghun, President of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, stated, "Industrial complexes will become platforms leading AX (AI Transformation), GX (Carbon Neutral Transformation), YX (Youth-Friendly Transformation), and NX (New Industry Transformation). Through Industrial Complex Week, we aim to reaffirm the significance of industrial complexes and demonstrate that they are creative and vibrant spaces."
