This event has been organized to reflect on the significance of the United Nations Command, which was established on July 24, 1950, shortly after the outbreak of the Korean War, to safeguard freedom and peace on the Korean Peninsula. It also aims to reaffirm the commitment to contributing to peace on the Korean Peninsula through continued solidarity with the international community.

Minister Shin stated, "The Republic of Korea was able to achieve its current progress after overcoming the devastation of war thanks to the noble sacrifice and dedication of the United Nations Command and veterans from 22 member countries. We will never forget the spirit of solidarity that united us under the UN flag, and we will continue to work with the international community to protect peace."

Meanwhile, following Minister Shin's welcoming remarks, the event will feature a congratulatory address by Gilberto Teodoro, Minister of National Defense of the Philippines-a member of both the United Nations Command and a Korean War participant country-a keynote speech by Stephanie Beck, Deputy Minister of National Defense of Canada, as well as a speech and congratulatory performance by United Nations Command Commander Xavier Brunson.
