Policy Proposal Contest for "Support Policies for the Re-Start of the Retirement Generation"
Seeking Creative Ideas for Job Creation, Life Planning, and Emotional Support for People in Their 50s and 60s
On September 8, the city of Icheon in Gyeonggi Province announced that it will hold the "Second Half Policy Proposal Contest" until September 30.
This contest is themed "Support Policies for the Re-Start of the 5060 Retirement Generation" and welcomes a wide range of proposals, including: ▲ job creation and employment competency enhancement for people in their 50s and 60s, ▲ support for life planning and retirement preparation, ▲ support for independent living and cultural activities, ▲ emotional support, and ▲ other creative policies for the development of city administration.
Anyone can participate in the contest. Those interested can submit their ideas either by email or through the "Idea Participation - Idea Collection - 2025 Second Half Icheon City Policy Proposal Contest" section on the National Idea Platform website.
The city will select the winners after a review by the relevant departments and an evaluation by the proposal review committee. The top prize winner will receive 1 million won, two excellence award winners will each receive 500,000 won, three encouragement award winners will each receive 300,000 won, and five effort award winners will each receive 100,000 won. The list of winners will be announced on the city website in November.
A city official stated, "We will make every effort to ensure that the ideas discovered through this contest are effectively incorporated into city administration."
