"We Will Contribute to the Expansion of the Legal AI Ecosystem"
Law&Company announced on September 8 that it has joined the artificial intelligence (AI) consortium "K-AI Alliance," led by SK Telecom, as a new member company.
The K-AI Alliance is a consortium that collaborates with leading AI companies in South Korea to strengthen the nation’s AI technology competitiveness and pursue global expansion. Since its launch in February 2023, 37 startups have participated, and 10 companies selected as national representatives for the government-led "Independent AI Foundation Model" project are also active members.
Law&Company is the first legal tech company to become a member, and it officially began its activities by attending the "K-AI Alliance Global Meetup" held in Japan on September 5. The event was organized to support K-AI Alliance members in entering the Japanese market. Seventeen member companies, including Law&Company, as well as major Japanese conglomerates and venture capital firms, participated and engaged in various networking opportunities.
Since 2019, Law&Company has established a legal AI research institute and has focused on technological research. The company has launched the legal information service "Bigcase" and the legal AI service "Superlawyer." Recently, it was selected as one of five elite teams as part of the Upstage Consortium for the government-led "Independent AI Foundation Model" project.
