On September 7 (local time), U.S. President Donald Trump stated, "Our relationship with South Korea is good," adding, "The issue regarding the Hyundai Motor factory will not affect relations between the two countries."
Previously, on September 4, U.S. immigration authorities conducted a large-scale raid at the construction site of the joint battery factory between Hyundai Motor Group and LG Energy Solution in Ellabell, Georgia, detaining and arresting 475 people, including approximately 300 South Koreans.
