Five Colors Reflecting the Waves of Change
"Embracing Change as a Rhythm, Not as Fear"
The Color Design Center at Samhwa Paint Industrial announced on September 8 that it has selected "Ride the Tide" as the 2026 Color of the Year Nuance keyword and has chosen five colors to represent it.
The five colors expressing "Ride the Tide" are Sweet Corn, Winter Sky, Peacock Green, Pond Blue, and Piona Peach. Each color symbolizes imagination, flexible adaptation, harmony and connection, unknown waves, and authentic trust, respectively.

Samhwa Paint Industrial stated, "Ride the Tide represents the process of choosing the direction of one's life with intuition and imagination, feeling a new rhythm, and creating one's own path and pace amid boundless waves. In a time when new waves such as artificial intelligence (AI) agents are arriving, we propose viewing change not as something to fear, but as a rhythm to embrace and immerse oneself in."
Meanwhile, the Samhwa Paint Color Design Center will host the "2026-27 SHIFT Color Trend Seminar" on September 19 at POSCO Tower Yeoksam in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to present its outlook for 2026.
