According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, there will be occasional rain in the Jeolla region and Gyeongnam region starting in the morning, and in the Gyeongbuk region from the afternoon. The expected rainfall over the two days from September 8 to 9 is 30 to 80 mm in Gwangju and Jeonnam (with more than 100 mm possible in southern Jeonnam), 5 to 40 mm in northern Jeonbuk, 10 to 60 mm in southern Jeonbuk, 5 to 30 mm in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, and 5 to 30 mm in Ulleungdo and Dokdo.
The highest daytime temperatures are forecast to range from 27 to 31 degrees Celsius. As of 5 a.m., temperatures in major cities were as follows: Seoul 21.1 degrees, Incheon 22.3 degrees, Suwon 19.9 degrees, Chuncheon 18.8 degrees, Gangneung 22.2 degrees, Cheongju 20.6 degrees, Daejeon 19.6 degrees, Jeonju 20.0 degrees, Gwangju 22.5 degrees, Jeju 27.4 degrees, Daegu 22.3 degrees, Busan 25.8 degrees, Ulsan 24.3 degrees, and Changwon 24.5 degrees.
Fine dust concentrations are expected to remain at 'good' to 'moderate' levels across all regions, due to smooth air diffusion and the effects of rainfall.
Wave heights in the sea will range from 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the coastal waters of the East Sea and South Sea, and around 0.5 meters in the coastal waters of the West Sea. In the offshore areas (within about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights will be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea, West Sea, and South Sea.
