This event was organized to widely promote the value of Toegyewon Sandanori, which is recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and a Gyeonggi Province intangible heritage, and to provide citizens with the opportunity to directly experience and enjoy traditional culture. The event was part of the '2025 Saengsaeng National Heritage Project,' hosted by the National Heritage Administration and organized by Namyangju City.

More than 70 family participants from the local area took part in the event, which featured a variety of programs such as a Toegyewon Sandanori performance, mask-making experience, Sandan Village play yard, and traditional instrument lessons, all of which received an enthusiastic response from citizens.

On the first day, participants began by setting up tents and attending the opening ceremony, then enjoyed exciting samulnori (traditional percussion ensemble), learning mask dance, and watching traditional performances with their families.

In the evening, Mayor Joo Gwangdeok visited the camping site to greet citizens and joined the participants in a unity event where they made and ate buchimgae (Korean pancakes) together. Mayor Joo personally conversed with the participants, encouraged family campers, and emphasized the value of Toegyewon Sandanori and the significance of traditional cultural experiences that transcend generations.

On the second day, participants watched a demonstration of Toegyewon Sandanori mask-making and enjoyed a Sandanori character craft experience, creating special memories for both children and parents.

Namyangju City evaluated that this traditional culture camp served as an opportunity to connect generations and enjoy traditional culture in daily life, and announced plans to further expand traditional culture experience programs that citizens can easily enjoy and learn in the future.
