On the afternoon of September 6, Hwee Young Choi, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, visited the special exhibition "Dialogue: Unidentified Reception," featuring outstanding exclusive artists, held at Huigyeomjae in Bukchon on the occasion of the 2025 Korea Art Festival. There, he encouraged young artists and listened to their voices on site.

Since 2019, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Arts Management Support Center have been promoting a support program for exclusive artists, which provides assistance to galleries and other institutions that sign exclusive contracts with artists, in order to establish a stable foundation for young artists to continue their activities. "Dialogue: Unidentified Reception" is an exhibition curated by selecting 10 artists who participated in the 2025 support program. The exhibition, which runs until September 15, features a total of 68 works, including 45 paintings, 19 sculptures and installations, and 4 media pieces.
Minister Choi first toured the exhibition and then met with the curator and participating artists to hear their opinions on site.
Shin Min, who has been attracting global attention after winning the Emerging Artist Award at Art Basel Hong Kong in March, shared her thoughts on policies supporting young artists, saying, "If domestic support programs like the exclusive artist system are expanded to include overseas exhibitions and residencies, young artists will be able to build greater competitiveness on a broader stage."
In response, Minister Choi promised, "The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is preparing a variety of policies to help young artists develop their creative capabilities. Based on the feedback received from the art community today, we will devise policies that allow young artists to create in a stable environment and compete on a larger stage."
