The 13th Gyeongsangbuk-do Governor's Cup Civil Servants Badminton Tournament, jointly organized by Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and the badminton clubs of 19 cities and counties within the province, concluded successfully at the Yecheon National Sports Center over two days from September 5 to 6.

Shuttlecocks Soar in Yecheon, Uniting Civil Servants in Harmony Kim Hakdong, Yecheon County Governor, is receiving hometown love donations and taking commemorative photos with players at the 13th Gyeongsangbuk-do Governor's Cup Civil Servants Badminton Tournament.

This tournament was hosted by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Civil Servants Badminton Club (President Kim Jaewon) and organized by the Yecheon County Office Civil Servants Badminton Club (President Kim Doyoon). Over 500 athletes and officials from across the province participated, creating an opportunity for exchange and unity through recreational sports.


◆ The Dignity of Public Servants Shown Through Volunteerism, Sharing, and Sports

On the first day, September 5, public servants fulfilled their social responsibilities by volunteering at local welfare facilities and shopping at the traditional market before the tournament began. During the subsequent friendly matches, participants showcased their skills and sportsmanship.


On the second day, September 6, the main preliminary and final matches took place, with representatives from each city and county competing fiercely. The tournament concluded with the closing ceremony.


Notably, during the tournament, Yecheon County Office ran a promotional campaign for the Hometown Love Donation Program targeting participants and spectators. In addition, members of the 19 city and county clubs donated 1 million won in hometown love contributions to support the development of Yecheon County, further emphasizing the virtuous cycle where sports exchange leads to regional growth.


◆ "A Stage for Unity, a Driving Force for Coexistence"

Kim Doyoon, President of the Yecheon County Office Civil Servants Badminton Club, said, "I hope this tournament in Yecheon will remain a fond memory for all participants," adding, "I expect this event to serve as a foundation for communication and mutual growth among local governments."
