Donghae City, Gangwon Province, announced on September 6 that it will hold a special discount event for Chuseok at Donghae Mall, the region’s online shopping platform.
This event will run for 40 days until October 10, featuring a variety of products planned for the Chuseok season and operated as an online special exhibition.
During the event, members of the city and county mall will receive a 40% discount coupon. The coupon can be used for purchases over 10,000 won and is applicable to all products on Donghae Mall, with a maximum discount limit of 30,000 won.
The discount coupons will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis every Tuesday at 10 a.m. during the exhibition period, for a total of four times (September 2, September 9, September 16, and September 23). However, the event may end early if the budget is exhausted, and no further coupons will be issued for subsequent rounds.
Im Seongbin, Director of Economic Affairs, stated, "This Chuseok special exhibition has been prepared to allow citizens to purchase a variety of products, including local specialties, at reasonable prices," adding, "It will also greatly help expand online sales channels for local farms and small businesses."
Meanwhile, Donghae Mall continues to promote various online marketing events to boost consumption of local products and revitalize the regional economy.
