Over the weekend, Gwangju and Jeonnam will be mostly cloudy, with heavy rain expected in some areas.
The Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration forecasted that, due to the influence of a pressure trough moving from the Shandong Peninsula in China, there will be 30 to 80 mm of rain over the two weekend afternoons, with intense rainfall of around 30 to 50 mm per hour.
Along with rain and showers, temperatures will temporarily drop, but high humidity will cause the apparent temperature to rise, and the heatwave will continue. On the 6th, morning lows are expected to be between 22 and 25 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs of 30 to 33 degrees. On the 7th, morning lows will be 24 to 26 degrees, and daytime highs will be 29 to 32 degrees.
An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "Visibility may decrease rapidly, and there may be slippery or flooded roads, so please pay attention to traffic safety."
