Experience the Innovation of Korean Companies Onsite
A Showcase of AI, Robotics, and K-Beauty Technologies
"Significant Potential for Expanding Global Cooperation"
On September 5, at the exhibition hall on the 3rd floor of Jeju International Convention Center (ICC), where the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) SME Ministers' Meeting was taking place, the technology and products of innovative Korean small and medium-sized enterprises attracted the attention of delegations from various countries.
The delegations, accompanied by Han Sungsoo, Minister of SMEs and Startups, toured booths in a variety of fields, including digital content, robotics, and K-Beauty, and experienced the exhibits firsthand.

The first stop was Tesolo, a robotics company. Specializing in robotic hands (grippers), the company has implemented a joint structure similar to that of a human hand, enabling delicate movements. When a company representative moved their hand, the robot mimicked the motion exactly, leaving the delegation visibly impressed.
At the Toonsquare booth, artificial intelligence (AI)-based digital content technology drew attention. In just a few seconds, images of Minister Han’s face were transformed into various styles such as pixel art and East Asian painting. The ministers from each country expressed amazement and could not take their eyes off the display for some time.

Winners of the '2025 SME Technology and Management Innovation Expo' were also present at the exhibition. KL Cube showcased an AI sign language avatar-based ticketing kiosk. The demonstration, in which a sign language avatar guided hearing-impaired individuals and other information-vulnerable groups through ticket purchases or hotel room services, received positive feedback.
Angel Robotics' hip-assist wearable robot and DecaSight's AR-based precision surgical simulation equipment were also introduced through hands-on demonstrations. The delegation showed great interest in the potential applications of these technologies in the medical and rehabilitation fields.

Interest also extended to the K-Beauty exhibition hall. At the Truezyme booth, which featured cosmeceutical products made with native ingredients from Jeju, visitors could try out a mist spray firsthand. When a demonstrator explained, "The 'ppoyong-ppoyong' style is currently popular in Korea," foreign delegates laughed and asked, "Does that mean cute?" The Chilean representative, after finishing the tour, returned to the booth to take a commemorative photo and said, "See you soon."

At a media day held the previous day, Minister Han stated, "By combining multiple events with the APEC Ministers' Meeting, we are seeing unexpected connections emerge. As delegations from each country see the sites in person and experience the strengths of Korean companies, I believe we can create even more opportunities in the global market."
