Myeongryun Jinsa Galbi Donates a Total of 1.2 Billion Won Through Long-Term Support for Independent Young Adults

Myeongryundang Co., Ltd. and Myeongryun Jinsa Galbi announced that on August 26, they delivered their fourth donation of 300 million won to the headquarters of World Vision to support young adults preparing for independence.

After signing an agreement with World Vision in 2023, the company officially launched a support program for young adults preparing for independence, establishing a long-term sponsorship plan to donate 300 million won annually for 10 years, totaling 3 billion won. With this latest donation ceremony, Myeongryundang has delivered its fourth donation of 300 million won for this initiative, bringing the cumulative total donated to World Vision to 1.2 billion won.

The donations are being used to help these young adults establish a foundation for independence by supporting housing stability, expanding educational opportunities, and strengthening employment capabilities. In particular, the company provides practical assistance to young people taking their first steps into society through programs that improve living environments and offer emotional support.

In addition, the "I Am My Own Guardian" campaign is being conducted nationwide. Myeongryun Jinsa Galbi has installed donation boxes in its stores across the country and encourages voluntary customer participation through an online fundraising website, working to raise public awareness about young adults preparing for independence.

Notably, in April 2024, the company met in person with "Hanna" (a pseudonym), the real-life subject of the campaign, along with a franchise owner from her local area, to form a sisterhood relationship and delivered 30 million won to cover her surgery and living expenses. This is regarded as a case in which the company contributed not only through a simple donation but also by making a tangible difference in the life of a young person.

A company representative stated, "We are honored to continue our sponsorship agreement with World Vision by delivering our fourth donation. We will continue to provide warm support and practical assistance so that young adults taking their first steps into society do not feel alone."

Meanwhile, Myeongryun Jinsa Galbi is actively engaged in not only volunteer activities but also a variety of regular sponsorships. Since 2021, the company has partnered with the NGO Together With Love to sponsor and support children with disabilities on an annual basis. Starting in 2024, it has also established agreements with the Korea Social Welfare Society to support vulnerable groups, with the Multicultural Welfare Center to support multicultural families, and with the Korean Red Cross to provide annual sponsorship for children with rare diseases, consistently practicing sharing throughout society.
