Dong-A University and Dongseo University were selected last year for the Ministry of Education's "Glocal University 30" initiative and are establishing the nation's only private university consortium model. This agreement aims to strengthen mutual cooperation in the specialized field of "human care."

Under the agreement, a variety of collaborative projects will be pursued, including: operation of field training programs in health and medical departments such as nursing, clinical pathology, and radiology; convergence research in medicine and health; development of joint educational content; and planning of community health promotion programs.

President Lee Haewoo stated, "With this agreement, students from Dongseo University's departments of nursing, dental hygiene, and food and nutrition will now have the opportunity to conduct practical training at Dong-A University Medical Center. In addition, the clinical pathology and radiology departments, which have already been conducting training, will see an increase in both the number of students and the duration of training. I hope that this cooperation will continue not only in field training but also across all aspects of human care."

The Dong-A and Dongseo Glocal University Consortium has designated four specialized fields in connection with the Busan regional industry: energy technology (power semiconductors and hydrogen), human care (biohealth), cultural content (advanced content and convergent design), and Busan heritage. Through collaboration among local industries, universities, and research institutes, the consortium aims to advance regional industries and secure new growth engines.
