The Construction Division of Hanwha is introducing its first 'Forena' branded apartment complex in Ulsan. The company will develop the site of the former Hanwha Chemical employee housing, once a coveted location among Ulsan citizens, into a new regional landmark.
'Hanwha Forena Ulsan Mugeo' will be built at 1422 Mugeo-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan. The large-scale complex will consist of eight buildings, ranging from three basement levels to 25 above-ground floors, offering a total of 816 units with exclusive areas between 84 and 166 square meters. The 84-square-meter unit, a standard size in South Korea, will account for 72% of the total units.
This complex boasts a prime location within a 'triple living zone,' providing convenient access to Mugeo-dong, Sinjeong, and Ok-dong. Residents will enjoy abundant natural surroundings, including Ulsan Grand Park and Taehwagang National Garden. Commercial, neighborhood, and administrative facilities such as Ulsan District Court, Hyundai Department Store, and Lotte Mart are also nearby. The area offers an excellent educational environment, with more than 10 schools including Samho Elementary School and Okhyeon Elementary School clustered around the complex.
The transportation infrastructure is also outstanding. Major road networks such as Nambu Ring Road, Samho-ro, and Munsu-ro make it easy to travel within the city. There is also excellent access to regional transportation networks, including the Ulsan Expressway and Donghae Expressway. In the future, transportation conditions are expected to improve further with the planned development of Ulsan Tram Lines 1 and 4, as well as the Ulsan-Yangsan-Busan metropolitan railway.
Hanwha Construction Division is offering differentiated features befitting Ulsan's first 'Forena' complex. The buildings are primarily south-facing to maximize sunlight and ventilation, and every household will have access to an average of 1.6 parking spaces, all of which are located underground. Notably, a sky lounge will be located on the 25th floor, providing panoramic views of Ulsan. In addition, a variety of community facilities?including a guest house and laundry cafe?will be created within a space of approximately 3,600 square meters, about half the size of a soccer field.
Furthermore, the complex will feature the 'Blue Air System' to keep indoor and outdoor air fresh, and every unit will be provided with its own storage space to maximize usability. Move-in is scheduled for the second half of 2028.
