Ministry of Trade and Korea Hydrogen Alliance to Hold 4th Clean Hydrogen Trade Initiative Forum

The 4th Clean Hydrogen Trade Initiative, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Hydrogen Alliance, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on September 19 at the International Conference Hall of the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul.

At the event, Jeff Robinson, Australian Ambassador to Korea, Philippe Lafortune, Canadian Ambassador to Korea, and Onny Jalink, Deputy Ambassador of the Netherlands to Korea, are scheduled to deliver congratulatory remarks emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in clean hydrogen trade.

The presentation sessions will cover a variety of topics, including: ▲ Global hydrogen policy and market trends (S&P Global), ▲ Current status of global clean hydrogen projects and investments (OECD), ▲ Progress of Korea's clean hydrogen certification system (Korea Energy Economics Institute), ▲ Design direction for Korea's clean hydrogen power generation bidding market (Korea Power Exchange), ▲ Status and plans for fostering Japan's clean hydrogen ecosystem (JOGMEC), ▲ Plans to support European clean hydrogen trade (H2Global), and ▲ India's clean hydrogen production and trade plans (GH2India).

While last year's event focused on the clean hydrogen certification system, this year's event will broadly address global project investments and supply chain design to vitalize international trade.

Kim Jae-hong, Chairman of the Korea Hydrogen Alliance, stated, "As the importance of global cooperation surrounding clean hydrogen trade is emphasized, competition between countries is also intensifying," adding, "This year's event will serve as an opportunity to strengthen Korea's strategic position and expand overseas opportunities for domestic companies."
