Hana Bank announced on the 5th that it has signed a business agreement with Chung-Ang University Medical Center to promote legacy donations.


This agreement was established to foster a sustainable and scalable culture of giving in society by raising public awareness of legacy donations and enhancing accessibility so that anyone can participate easily.


First, Hana Bank will provide asset planning and financial solutions tailored to customers' life plans and financial needs, supporting prompt and transparent donation execution. Chung-Ang University Medical Center plans to use the donations to advance medical research and improve patient welfare.


Additionally, Hana Bank will continue mutual cooperation with Chung-Ang University Medical Center to fully realize the donors' noble intentions by offering one-stop services, including specialized consulting on legacy donations, customized trust designs such as living trusts, and post-donation management.


Jinwoo Kim, Vice President of Hana Bank Central Sales Group, stated, "We will take the lead in spreading and establishing a virtuous cycle of donation culture so that more benefits can return to customers who practice giving together with the financial and medical sectors."


Cheolhee Lee, Director of Chung-Ang University Medical Center, said, "This agreement will serve as an important opportunity to further expand patient-centered medical services and the realization of social value," adding, "We will do our best to lead the spread of a culture of sharing and fulfill the social responsibilities of a university hospital."


Since launching Korea's first living trust brand, 'Hana Living Trust,' in 2010, Hana Bank has solidified its position as a leading bank in the living trust market. In particular, to promote legacy donations, it has built a network with more than 140 partner donation organizations nationwide, supporting the stable transfer of customers' assets after death.


Meanwhile, Chung-Ang University Medical Center has been at the forefront of spreading the culture of legacy donations by establishing systems to ensure donors' wishes are executed transparently, operating the nation's top-level donor recognition program, and providing posthumous recognition in areas such as research and medical care.
