"Consistently High Marks Across Five Evaluation Categories"
Special Customer Events to Celebrate the Award
Renault Korea, led by CEO Nicolas Paris, has seen its all-electric SUV, the Scenic E-Tech 100% Electric, selected as the "Car of the Month" for September by the Korea Automobile Journalists Association. Following last year's recognition as "Car of the Year" in Europe, the model continues to showcase its appeal in the domestic market, with Renault Korea responding by launching customer appreciation events.
The Scenic E-Tech achieved top honors by earning consistently high scores across five evaluation categories: interior and exterior design, safety and convenience features, driving performance, energy efficiency, and overall product value. To celebrate this award, Renault Korea has prepared a variety of customer events throughout September.
First, 30 customers who take delivery of the Scenic E-Tech will be selected by lottery to receive a Harman-Kardon® Bluetooth speaker. In addition, three customers who receive their vehicle by the 21st will be given the opportunity to participate in the "Scenic Experience in Paris" program, held in Paris, France. This event includes test drives in downtown Paris and visits to Renault’s flagship showroom, offering participants a taste of French style and culture.
Having begun deliveries to Korean customers in August, the Scenic E-Tech will be available for test drives at Renault Korea showrooms nationwide starting this weekend.
The Scenic E-Tech emphasizes premium features, best-in-class interior space, and elegant design. It is equipped with the Solarbay® panoramic sunroof and is built on the dedicated "AmpR Medium" platform developed by Ampere, Renault Group’s electric vehicle subsidiary. The vehicle delivers a maximum output of 160kW (218ps) and peak torque of 300Nm.
It is also fitted with an 87kWh battery from LG Energy Solution, enabling a certified maximum driving range of 460km according to Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy standards. The patented "Fireman Access" technology for battery fire response is also applied.
The "Car of the Month" award, organized by the "Car of the Year Selection Committee" under the Korea Automobile Journalists Association, is presented each month to new or partially updated models based on a comprehensive evaluation of design, safety, performance, efficiency, and product value.
