A Complex Healing Space Blending Scenery, Light, and Flavor
Boseong County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Kim Cheolwoo) announced on September 5 that it has completely remodeled the third floor of Botjae, transforming it into a new cafe space where visitors can simultaneously enjoy the scenery of the tea fields and light displays.
This remodeling project was undertaken to create a space where residents and tourists can spend leisurely time while taking in the breathtaking views of Boseong’s iconic tea fields.

In particular, the existing walls have been removed to create an open and expansive atmosphere, and the design allows visitors to take in the panoramic views of the tea fields, which change colors with each season.
Inside the cafe, lighting installations (gobo lights) inspired by "waves" and "fireflies" fill the space with a gentle glow, creating a romantic ambiance. The former exhibition area is decorated with gobo lights themed around "the universe," offering a unique spatial experience that blends tradition and the future.
On the third floor of Botjae, visitors can enjoy beverages ordered from "Greendahyang" on the second floor. The menu at Greendahyang includes 46 different beverages and 7 desserts, featuring Boseong’s specialty matcha in items such as matcha ice cream latte, matcha brown sugar bubble, and matcha patbingsu.
An official from the county stated, "Botjae is the gateway to Boseong and a symbolic space that forms the first impression of the area. With this cafe remodeling, we have created a complex healing space that combines scenery, light, and flavor. We hope it will become a beloved attraction for both residents and tourists."
Meanwhile, the county plans to strengthen its promotional efforts by linking Botjae with major tourist destinations such as the Korea Tea Museum and Yulpo Green Tea Seawater Center, aiming to enhance the nationwide brand value of "Boseong, the Capital of Green Tea."
