Residents who participated on the day expressed great satisfaction with the improved accessibility to medical care, saying, "It is very convenient to receive medical treatment nearby without having to travel to the city. It was a tremendous help."

Mayor Kim Byungsoo has previously expressed his commitment for the local government to make a tangible contribution so that "any Gimpo citizen can manage their health anytime, easily and conveniently." In this context, the Rural Home-Visit Bus project, implemented for the first time in Gimpo City after thorough consideration to guarantee the health rights of residents in the northern region, is being recognized as an effective policy that enables citizens to live healthy lives.

The city has carried out the Rural Home-Visit Bus project in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Gimpo branch of NH Nonghyup, Shingimpo Nonghyup, and the Gimpo City Public Health Center. The project targets elderly people in rural areas, farmers, and vulnerable groups who have difficulty visiting medical institutions. On-site, a variety of medical services were provided, including Western and Korean medicine consultations, eye exams and magnifier support, and musculoskeletal pain treatment. In addition, the Gimpo City Public Health Center participated to simultaneously run the "Health Connection Integration Project," which included dementia screening, InBody measurements, and disease prevention education, further increasing residents' satisfaction.

Lee Jaejun, Director of the Gimpo City Agricultural Technology Center, said, "The Rural Home-Visit Bus has been a meaningful opportunity to protect the health of farmers, and I deeply thank the medical staff, volunteers, and employees who worked hard for this event. We will continue to do our best to eliminate blind spots in medical welfare and promote the health of farmers."

Park Hoyoun, President of Shingimpo Nonghyup, said, "With the active participation of many rural residents, this Rural Home-Visit Bus project has been very meaningful. We will continue to actively support the improvement of rural welfare in the future."

Meanwhile, the Rural Home-Visit Bus will be held a total of three times this year, with the final event scheduled to take place in the Haseong area (Shingimpo Nonghyup Haseong branch) on October 28.
