Strategic Partnership for the 35th Anniversary of Korea-Mongolia Diplomatic Relations

Shinhan University (President Kang Sungjong) announced on September 4 that it had visited Mongolian National University (President Tselmeg) in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on August 26 and signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expand international exchange, with key officials from both universities in attendance.

Through this strategic MOU, the two universities plan to cooperate broadly in areas such as academic exchange between faculty and researchers, student exchange and exchange student programs, sharing of research and educational materials, hosting of academic exchanges, joint research, and collaborative seminars, credit recognition and undergraduate admissions (including transfer admissions), venture business-related projects, and graduate school admission projects. This partnership is expected to provide students with a variety of global experiences and contribute to enhancing the quality of higher education in both countries.
At the event, Shinhan University was represented by President Kang Sungjong, Graduate School Dean Cho Yoonjae, Academic Affairs Director Lee Hyun, Public Relations Director Kwon Ogeun, and Graduate School Vice Dean Park Sojeong (Professor, K-Beauty Department). Mongolian National University was represented by President Tselmeg, Academic Affairs Director Sharol, Department Head Delgersuren, and Professor Park Dallim, along with other key officials from both institutions.
In his welcoming remarks, Kang Sungjong, President of Shinhan University, stated, "As we mark the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Mongolia, I hope that by sharing educational achievements and collaborating, both universities will achieve even higher levels of educational and research excellence. Based on this agreement, we aim to explore various possibilities between the two countries, especially by expanding opportunities needed by Mongolian students and further developing our cooperation. I also hope that we will continue to expand our exchange and collaboration to foster global talent and create a global educational environment that nurtures internationally minded individuals."
Tselmeg, President of Mongolian National University, said, "Founded in 1998, Mongolian National University is one of the largest universities in Mongolia, with 13 colleges, approximately 15,000 students, and 700 faculty and staff members. We hope that both universities will enhance their global competitiveness through strengthened international cooperation and continue to build a sustainable and sincere partnership. In addition to student and faculty exchanges with Shinhan University, we also discussed various issues faced by international students, and we hope to continue practical cooperation that will benefit students, such as introducing the 2+2 program and supporting the smooth academic progress of international students."
