Interview with Seungchan Lee, Executive Director of Digital AX
AX:ink Integrates Agentic AI into Existing Work Processes
Superior Flexibility and Security Compared to Conventional Tools
Cost-Effective Solution

"My goal in the enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) work solutions sector is to create a service like JARVIS, the AI assistant from the movie 'Iron Man.' I want to develop a service where, simply by speaking my needs, AI can handle work tasks with a high degree of accuracy."
Seungchan Lee, Executive Director of Digital AX at LG CNS, expressed this ambition during an interview with Asia Economy on September 4. When asked how he would like to develop the enterprise agentic AI service 'a:xink,' he said he aims to evolve it into a work AI agent service that, like Tony Stark's AI assistant JARVIS in Iron Man, can autonomously handle all tasks with just a spoken command.

a:xink, which LG CNS unveiled on August 25, is a service that transforms common employee work tasks (such as meetings, emails, and translation) into agentic AI-powered processes. Agentic AI goes beyond conventional generative AI by making more autonomous decisions, allowing it to set its own goals and execute them independently. The name 'a:xink' combines 'AX' (AI transformation), 'EX' (employee experience), and 'Think,' reflecting the idea that AI actively thinks and works throughout the entire business process.
The services that a:xink delivers by integrating agentic AI include seven main areas: business portals and groupware, mobile office, meeting management and support, AI interpretation and translation, document drafting assistant, messenger, and an on-and-offline work and life space management super app.
According to Executive Director Lee, a:xink's strengths are flexibility and security. The features of a:xink can be customized to fit each company's work environment, and companies can choose to implement only the functions they need. Lee emphasized, "Korean companies have a wide range of demands for AI work tools," and added, "We can provide tailored services based on each company's requirements." On security, he explained, "What our clients worry about most is their company data being sent outside in order to use AI services. By building the service on-premises, we have alleviated concerns about data leakage."
Another advantage that a:xink highlights is its cost-effectiveness, as it is priced more reasonably than competing solutions. Lee stated, "Clients are highly sensitive to price when adopting AI services," and added, "We can provide only the functions they want, customized to their needs." For example, LG Display, an affiliate, adopted a:xink and is estimated to have saved more than 10 billion won (approximately 100 billion won annually) compared to similar solutions.
Lee also set forth the goal of accelerating a:xink's growth by promoting its enterprise agentic AI features. He noted, "Based on workplace services, a:xink is growing at a rate of 15 to 20 percent. With the addition of AI-based services, that growth rate will increase even further."
Prior to the interview, a morning event called 'AX Think On' was held to introduce a:xink to client companies. At the event, LG CNS explained and demonstrated the main features of a:xink. During the presentation, Jun-Tak Oh, Executive Director at LG Display, explained the background and benefits of adopting a:xink, stating, "We originally considered implementing a foreign solution, but with investment costs exceeding 80 billion won, we started looking for alternatives." Since adopting a:xink, LG Display has improved daily work productivity by approximately 10 to 15 percent compared to before.
