Changwon District Court in Gyeongnam announced on September 4 that it held its 2025 annual work meeting with the Gyeongnam Bar Association at the court on August 27.
The meeting was attended by Chief Judge Lee Younghun, Senior Presiding Judge Jang Suyeong, and eight other judges, as well as Bar Association President Kim Jumok, Executive Director Na Yushin, and seven other attorneys.
Participants shared suggestions for the development of trial systems in various fields, including civil, criminal, family, and bankruptcy cases, and discussed ways to ensure that litigants receive proper protection of their rights.

In particular, they exchanged opinions on the criteria for approving video trials, which are frequently used in the jurisdiction, precautions to be taken during video trials, appropriate calculation of appraisal fees, and the activation of mediation and public defender systems.
The matters discussed at the meeting were communicated to court members and Bar Association members, with follow-up actions taken to ensure that they lead to substantive institutional improvements.
Changwon District Court and the Gyeongnam Bar Association hold this meeting once a year to discuss the development of trial systems for the benefit of the public.
An official from Changwon District Court stated, "We will continue to actively create opportunities to gather diverse opinions from all sectors of society, including through these meetings, and will make ongoing efforts to advance the trial system for the public."
