Previously, in April, Kurly and Naver signed a strategic partnership agreement to launch Kurly N Mart, forming a joint task force to establish a collaborative system across all areas, including products, marketing, and logistics.
For this launch, Kurly secured over 5,000 new products that were not previously offered. This expansion aims to meet the needs of households with four or more members, as well as customers seeking bulk purchases and cost-effectiveness. Kurly N Mart will continue to add new products to Kurly's selection of food, household, and kitchen goods.
Just like on the Kurly App, customers who order Kurly N Mart products before 11 p.m. can receive them the next morning via 'Saetbyeol' overnight delivery. Naver Plus Membership users who select the Kurly Members Core option will also receive free shipping on purchases over 20,000 won, the same benefit as Kurly Members Core users.
Kurly Nextmile has joined the Naver Fulfillment Alliance (NFA) and has begun offering overnight delivery for select products from Naver Smart Store and Brand Store.
The launch of Kurly N Mart is expected to maximize synergy between the two companies. Kurly brings its curation capabilities, a wide range of exclusive high-quality products, and its own logistics infrastructure. Naver provides customer data, a robust search environment, and advanced technology. Through this partnership, both companies anticipate attracting new customers who have not previously used Kurly, as well as expanding the user base for Naver's grocery shopping service.
Logistics efficiency is also expected to improve. Increased order volume will enhance the utilization of logistics infrastructure and reduce delivery costs. The combination of Naver's digital marketing infrastructure and Kurly's product expertise is also expected to maximize marketing effectiveness.
Kim Seula, CEO of Kurly, stated, "Kurly N Mart will become the leading grocery shopping platform within the Naver Plus Store, offering an elevated customer experience by combining Kurly’s curation and overnight delivery service with Naver’s technology and marketing capabilities. We expect the influx of new customers accessing Kurly products through Naver and improvements in logistics efficiency to accelerate the company's growth."
Choi Sooyon, CEO of Naver, commented, "We expect the combination of Naver’s search, personalized recommendation technology, and large-scale marketing capabilities with Kurly’s product sourcing, grocery-focused curation, and delivery expertise to create a new grocery shopping experience. Starting with 'Kurly N Mart,' both companies will further enhance cooperation in logistics, business, and marketing to provide users with an even more differentiated experience."
