Practical Training to Enhance Transparency
and Foster a Healthy Residential Culture
Gimcheon City in North Gyeongsang Province has begun implementing practical measures to enhance the professionalism of multi-family housing management and establish a transparent management system.
On August 29, the city conducted the "2025 Education for Management Entities of Multi-Family Housing" on the second floor of the shooting range at the Comprehensive Sports Town.
Gyeongbuk Gimcheon City is conducting education for management entities of multi-family housing in 2025.
The training was attended by the heads of management offices from 58 multi-family housing complexes in the city that are subject to mandatory management. A professional instructor from the Korea Association of Apartment Managers was invited to deliver a practical, hands-on lecture that could be immediately applied in the field.
This practical training to enhance professionalism covered topics such as: establishing long-term repair plans and accounting management; guidelines for selecting housing management companies and contractors; and recent amendments to relevant laws, real-world case applications, and a Q&A session. The program provided a forum for discussing frequent management conflicts and the challenges of interpreting regulations, allowing participants to share effective, real-world solutions.
An official from Gimcheon City stated, "The professionalism of multi-family housing management entities is directly linked to the stability of citizens' daily lives," emphasizing, "We hope this training will help prevent various on-site issues and serve as an opportunity to foster a sound and transparent residential culture."
The city also plans to conduct a separate training session in September for representatives of multi-family housing residents, aiming to enhance their management capabilities and understanding of relevant laws. By strengthening the competencies of both management entities and resident representatives, the city is working toward establishing an "advanced residential management culture" that citizens can experience firsthand.
This training by Gimcheon City is not merely an administrative program, but is being evaluated as a strategic approach to improving transparency and professionalism in multi-family housing management. The city aims to raise the level of understanding for both management entities and residents, with the dual goals of "preventing conflicts" and "ensuring residential stability."
This demonstrates that local government housing administration is evolving beyond simple management support to become a "lifestyle policy" directly connected to the quality of life for citizens.
