A Variety of Facilities Including Swill Studio and Meditation Hall
Located in Ingae-myeon, Sunchang County, Jeollabuk-do, Swilland is gaining nationwide popularity as a multi-purpose healing space that combines leisure, wellness, and education.
According to the county on September 4, Swilland operates a variety of spaces, including a main building and bungalows for accommodation, the Swill Studio for culinary practice, a meditation hall, the Swill Fragrance Garden, a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna), and a wellness retreat facility equipped with educational spaces.
In particular, the recently completed Workation Center, which opened last year, features shared offices and team offices, making it a sought-after healing workation space where visitors can enjoy both work and relaxation simultaneously.
The effectiveness of these well-organized facilities is evident in the number of visitors. As of August this year, 2,430 people used the bungalows and 2,471 participated in wellness training programs, firmly establishing Swilland as the top healing destination.
The Hu-Medifood Healing Education Program, operated with Swilland as its base, attracted over 1,600 participants this year alone, achieving a satisfaction rate of 98% and receiving nationwide acclaim.
Additionally, Swilland's programs offer unique healing experiences that connect visitors with nature through activities such as cypress forest meditation, aromatherapy, and healing food workshops, resulting in high levels of satisfaction.
Based on these achievements, Swilland's excellence has been officially recognized. After being selected as a Jeollabuk-do Unique Venue in 2021, it was named one of Korea's Excellent Wellness Tourist Destinations by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization in 2024, firmly establishing itself as a leading wellness and healing destination in Jeollabuk-do.
County Governor Choi Youngil stated, "Sunchang's pristine natural environment and unique asset of traditional fermented food culture are creating Swilland's distinctive healing content," adding, "We will continue to develop Swilland into Korea's top healing destination through innovative wellness and healing content."
