This initiative was organized with the goal of promoting ESG values and expanding resource circulation. The fabric, metal, and plastic from discarded umbrellas were separated and recycled as resources, while umbrellas that could be repaired were placed in shared umbrella racks for citizens to use again.

Approximately 20 employees from Korea Racing Authority and Busan Transportation Corporation participated on site. They listened to an explanation of the zero-waste project and then took part in disassembling and sorting the umbrellas themselves. The umbrella fabric is set to be creatively upcycled into fashion accessories and other items.

Eom Youngseok, head of the branch, stated, "Environmental protection is a task that everyone must undertake together," adding, "Let's Run Park Busan-Gyeongnam will continue to carry out various ESG activities and fulfill the social responsibilities of a public corporation."
