The Nampyeong-eup Administrative Welfare Center in Naju City has called for active participation from residents in the month-long resident-participatory village welfare needs survey being conducted until the 30th.
This survey marks the first step toward realizing "village welfare" and has been organized to establish specialized welfare projects for the Nampyeong-eup area, based on suggestions directly proposed by residents.
In particular, Nampyeong-eup has been selected as a pilot site for the village welfare project promoted by Naju City, making this a crucial moment when residents' opinions can be directly reflected in actual policy.
"Village welfare" refers to resident-led welfare, where residents themselves identify issues in their village and discuss and implement solutions together, going beyond welfare services provided unilaterally by administrative agencies. The opinions of each and every resident are especially important in creating a warm community where neighbors and the village care for and look after one another.
Mayor Noh Sangsoo stated, "Village welfare is not something created by the administration, but something made together by the residents," and added, "As this needs survey is a valuable opportunity to make our village a better place to live, we ask for your keen interest and participation."
To participate, residents can simply scan the QR code on the poster to take the survey via mobile, or visit the town office to share their opinions on the sticker survey board.
