Confident in Achieving Record-Breaking Results in Office
"I Will Give My Best Until the End"
Kim Taeheum, Governor of Chungnam Province, announced his commitment to surpassing a 12 trillion won budget and achieving 45 trillion won in corporate investment attraction during the remainder of his term. He stated, "Looking back on the past three years, there are some regrets, but I have done my best," and emphasized, "I will continue to deliver results without wavering until the very end."
At a press conference held at the Art Center Goma in Gongju on September 3, Governor Kim said, "The budget target for Chungnam Province next year is 12.3 trillion won. Considering that the government proposal is 11.9 trillion won, it is fully achievable after the National Assembly's review." In fact, if the 12 trillion won budget is secured, the provincial budget, which stood at 8.3 trillion won at the start of the 8th popularly elected administration, will increase by 4 trillion won, marking the largest scale in history.
Regarding corporate investment attraction, he expressed strong confidence, saying, "During the 7th administration, we attracted 14.5 trillion won, but during my term, I will achieve 45 trillion won, including sales effects."
Governor Kim remarked, "It is natural for the media to criticize areas where we fall short," but also requested, "I ask for your constructive criticism as well as cooperation so that the provincial administration can run smoothly," and stressed, "I will do my utmost for the development of Chungnam Province and the happiness of its residents for the remainder of my term."
