'Incheon Architects Exhibition and Forum' to Be Held on September 4-6... Discussing the Future of Architecture and AI

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority and the Incheon Chapter of the Korean Institute of Architects will host the '2025 Incheon Architects Exhibition and Forum' at Incheon Startup Park from September 4 to 6.


This year's event, held under the theme 'Architecture is the Future,' will feature a forum discussing responses to climate change and the direction of carbon-neutral architecture, along with an outdoor concert and other programs.


On September 5, following the opening ceremony, a special lecture titled 'The Age of AI and the Future of Architecture' will take place. Lim Jongyeob, advisor to the Incheon Chapter of the Korean Institute of Architects, will deliver a lecture introducing the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on architectural design and urban planning.

A forum will also be held to discuss the direction of carbon-neutral architecture. The event will share the role of architecture in responding to the climate crisis and strategies for realizing sustainable cities, seeking practical solutions.


That evening, an outdoor concert will be held at the plaza under the theme 'Harmony of Architecture and Environment, Art and Music.'


The exhibition will showcase more than 70 works, including an architectural exchange exhibition among six metropolitan cities and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, a public design company exhibition, and an art exhibition.


Han Byungik, president of the Incheon Chapter of the Korean Institute of Architects, said, "I hope this venue for architectural culture, bringing together architecture, art, and music, will allow us to share future values."


Yoon Wonseok, commissioner of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, stated, "I hope this event will serve as a milestone in the development of architecture that responds to the era of climate crisis and prepares for the future of sustainable cities."
