Through this MOU, the two companies plan to closely examine the safety system of POSCO Group’s construction division and develop effective solutions, focusing on establishing advanced processes. They aim to begin a safety assessment of POSCO E&C within this month. The companies also agreed to exchange expertise and technology in safety, and to cooperate in the establishment and operation of a specialized safety company that POSCO Group is currently pursuing.

On the same day, Chairman Chang Inhwa emphasized, "We will boldly innovate all areas, including systems, culture, and technology, to dramatically enhance POSCO Group’s safety standards and take the lead in creating a workplace where every employee can work safely."

Also on the same day, POSCO Group met with dss+, a safety consulting company established using DuPont’s safety expertise, to explore various ways to collaborate on POSCO Group’s overall safety solutions.

On August 14, Chairman Chang also visited Europe to discuss the latest safety management techniques and leading European safety management policies with SGS, personally overseeing efforts to strengthen the group’s safety management.

Meanwhile, as part of its safety management innovation plan, POSCO Group is working to establish a specialized safety company. The group is reviewing all options, including benchmarking global safety leaders and pursuing mergers and acquisitions, with the goal of creating a smart safety solutions company that integrates safety and artificial intelligence.
