Busan Urban Corporation Completes Electrical Upgrades in Rental Housing... Enhanced Safety and Efficiency

Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Shin Changho) completed electrical equipment upgrades and safety inspections for public rental facilities on August 29.

This initiative was implemented to prevent electrical accidents and strengthen residential safety for tenants of rental apartments.

The corporation replaced lighting with LED fixtures in 726 units of the Hakjang 1 and Dongsam 1 rental housing complexes to improve energy efficiency. In addition, outdated generators in 4,030 units of Dongsam 2, Deokcheon 2, and Dadae 4 rental housing complexes, as well as the old power distribution board at the Jangnim rental factory, were replaced.

Furthermore, an overcharge prevention feature was added during the installation of electric vehicle charging stations to reduce fire risks. In partnership with Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, electrical safety inspections were conducted at nine rental housing districts, enhancing the disaster response system.

President Shin Changho stated, "A stable power supply is directly linked to the lives of our residents," and added, "We will do our utmost to ensure residential welfare and disaster safety by replacing outdated equipment and conducting safety inspections."
