At this competition alone, the team secured four gold medals, three silver medals, and one bronze medal, reaffirming its status as a powerful new contender in university taekwondo.

Held at the Gochang County Gymnasium in North Jeolla Province from August 28 to September 4, the Dongmyung University team delivered strong performances across all categories, including poomsae, breaking, and demonstration. Minju Hong and Minje Kim left a strong impression by winning silver medals in the vertical axis rotation breaking event, while Soyoung Park and Yumin Kim each claimed gold medals in the official poomsae women's individual event.

Yuri Oh and Dana Kim added silver medals in the same category, and Jinju Park (Class of 2025) contributed a bronze. In the team event, the Dongmyung University demonstration team won a silver medal in the Taekwon Gymnastics category, earning recognition for both individual skills and teamwork.

The coaching staff's achievements were also highlighted. Professor Hyungjin Won, who served as general director, and Professor Sungdae An, who was in charge of poomsae, were both awarded the Best Coach Award by the competition organizing committee.

Department head Hyungjin Won stated, "This achievement is the valuable result of the university's full support, the dedication of the faculty, and the students' spirit of challenge," emphasizing, "It is highly unusual, even nationwide, to achieve such results within just two years of the department's establishment."

Coaches from across the country also commented that the department has already established itself as "the Taekwondo department that students most want to attend."
