Galaxy Unveils New Product in Germany After 11 Years
Expanding the Ecosystem with Flagship AI Experience
Samsung Electronics has unveiled a new Galaxy series in Germany for the first time in 11 years. This is the Fan Edition (FE) model of the Galaxy S25 smartphone, which was launched earlier this year, allowing users to enjoy flagship features at a reasonable price.
On September 4 (local time), Samsung Electronics introduced the Galaxy S25 FE at the International Consumer Electronics Show (IFA) 2025 in Berlin, Germany. This marks the first new product unveiled in Germany in 11 years, since the launch of the Galaxy Note 4 at IFA 2014. The FE model retains popular features from the flagship model but offers them at a lower price by reducing certain specifications. The new product stands out as a value-for-money model, further enhancing the AI experience, security, and convenience.

The Galaxy S25 FE is equipped with the latest multimodal AI features based on One UI 8, enhancing the intuitiveness of the user interface (UI). Users can easily interact with the device through a combination of touch, voice, and visual inputs, and the "Gemini Live" feature provides appropriate answers to questions in a conversational manner. Additional features include the "Now Bar," which allows users to view essential information directly from the lock screen; "Now Brief," which analyzes usage patterns to suggest relevant content; and "Circle to Search," which provides tips and answers to questions simply by drawing a circle on the screen.
The device has also advanced in terms of security. It introduces a new solution called Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP), which generates an encryption key for each app to individually restrict access to personal information. In particular, the combination of the Personal Data Engine and Knox Vault further strengthens the on-device security system.
In terms of hardware, the device features a 12-megapixel front camera, applied for the first time, supporting vivid selfies. For the first time in the FE series, it supports a low-noise mode that reduces noise in low-light environments and a Super HDR feature that delivers realistic colors and contrast in videos. Other powerful editing features and tools powered by Galaxy AI are also included, such as Photo Assist for photo correction, Generative Edit, and Portrait Studio.
Performance and design have also seen significant improvements over previous models. The vapor chamber has been expanded by about 10% to more effectively control heat. The device is equipped with a large 4,900mAh battery, a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and an Armor Aluminum frame, all of which enhance usability and durability.
The device will be available in four colors: Navy, Ice Blue, Jet Black, and White. It will be released sequentially in markets such as the United States and the United Kingdom starting September 4, and is scheduled to launch in South Korea on September 19. The domestic retail price will be announced at the time of release.
Kim Junghyun, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' MX Division, stated, "Samsung Electronics aims to provide the latest, more intuitive, and personalized Galaxy AI experience to a wider range of users. We will help users express convenience and creativity in their daily lives by understanding their preferences and context, and by offering AI-powered photography and easy editing experiences."
