Recruiting 98.6% of Total Admissions Quota
Comprehensive Early Admission Process for 2026 Academic Year
Dong-Eui Institute of Technology will recruit 1,231 students, accounting for 98.6% of its total admissions quota, through the early admission process for the 2026 academic year. For departments that do not conduct interviews within the quota-based admissions, 100% of the selection is based on students' academic records (80% from subject grades and 20% from attendance), with additional points awarded according to department-specific evaluation criteria.
Academic grades are calculated from a total of 10 subjects, including 5 designated subjects (Korean, English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science) and 5 additional subjects chosen from outside the designated ones, regardless of grade or semester (excluding arts and physical education subjects). However, for the Department of Sports Rehabilitation Training, physical education subjects may be included. For career elective subjects, achievement grades of A/B/C for up to two subjects are converted to grades 1/3/5, respectively, and are not included in the designated subjects.
To reduce the burden on applicants, the number of departments requiring interviews has been minimized. Within the quota-based admissions, departments requiring interviews for the general high school, specialized high school, and university-specific criteria tracks are the Department of Radiology, Department of Social Welfare, Department of Culinary Arts and Food Service Industry, Department of Medical Skin Care, Department of Electric Vehicles, Department of Hair Beauty, and Department of Makeup and Nail Beauty. The Department of Hair Beauty and the Department of Makeup and Nail Beauty conduct interviews only for the university-specific criteria track, with interview scores accounting for 20% of the evaluation.
Applicants may apply to up to five different departments or tracks, regardless of department or admissions type. However, duplicate applications to the same department and track are not allowed. If accepted to multiple departments, applicants may choose one to enroll in.
The quota-based admissions tracks include: ▲General High School and Specialized High School ▲University-specific criteria for GED holders, national merit recipients and their children, and registered athletes from sports organizations ▲Curriculum-linked admissions ▲Equal Opportunity (Adult Learners) admissions. All new students admitted through quota-based tracks are eligible for up to a 50% tuition waiver at the time of enrollment, depending on their department.
