Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters selected 11 households in need-such as basic livelihood security recipients, low-income families, and elderly people living alone-across five towns and townships in Gijang County. The support covers the replacement of boilers, wallpapering, window and door repairs, and lighting upgrades to renovate outdated residential environments.
The "House Repair with Love" project, which Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters implements annually, is part of the "Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Support Project" and also contributes to local job creation through the Gijang Regional Self-Sufficiency Center.
As part of this support, on September 1, Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters also carried out the "2025 House Repair with Love" volunteer activity in Jwacheon Village, Jangan-eup, Gijang County.
The Goribong Volunteer Group, consisting of Nam Youngkyu, Director of External Cooperation at Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, and employees from the headquarters, visited the selected households to freshly wallpaper old walls and replace aging electrical installations, thoroughly repairing every corner of the homes.
Nam Youngkyu, Director of External Cooperation, said, "We hope this support will bring a small ray of hope to our neighbors in need. Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters will continue to contribute to improving the quality of life for residents in the areas surrounding the power plant through ongoing support projects."
