Coupon Support to Boost Takeout Orders

Coupang Eats announced on September 2 that it will hold the "Eats Wow Appreciation Festival" throughout September, focusing on benefits such as discount coupons for takeout orders.

In March, Coupang Eats announced that, as a result of voluntary regulations by the Fair Trade Commission and discussions with the Euljiro Committee's social dialogue body for delivery apps, it would extend its "zero intermediary fee" policy for takeout orders at all participating stores until March next year.

If more customers use the takeout order service, restaurant owners are expected to benefit from the absence of delivery fees and the free intermediary fee support from Coupang Eats, significantly reducing their financial burden while also helping to boost domestic demand.

Coupang Eats will also provide a 1,500 won discount coupon for takeout orders of 10,000 won or more during the "Eats Wow Appreciation Festival." The coupon can be used at any store offering takeout services. Customers can conveniently browse and order their desired takeout menu items in the "Takeout" category of the Coupang Eats app.

Additionally, a variety of weekly customer benefits will be offered throughout September. In the first week, until the 7th, a 3,000 won discount coupon for chicken delivery-Korea's favorite snack-will be available. This coupon applies to all stores in the chicken category on Coupang Eats and can be combined with individual discount coupons provided by each chicken store.

A Coupang Eats representative said, "This 'Eats Wow Appreciation Festival' is designed to offer reasonable price benefits to Wow members and provide business owners with the opportunity to increase sales through takeout orders without intermediary fees. We will continue to introduce a variety of benefits to satisfy both customers and business owners."
