Hanwha Ocean's labor and management have finalized wage negotiations and will now focus on operating the production line.
On September 2, Hanwha Ocean (CEO Kim Heecheol) announced that it held a signing ceremony for the conclusion of this year's wage negotiations with the Hanwha Ocean branch of the Korean Metal Workers' Union Gyeongnam Branch (Chairman Kim Yucheol).
CEO Kim Heecheol of Hanwha Ocean, Chairman Kim Yucheol, and other labor-management negotiation committee members attended the signing ceremony.
In response to the increased volume of orders and the need for production stability in recent years, Hanwha Ocean's labor and management reached an agreement in July. By finalizing the deal before the summer vacation, they have ensured the stability of the production system.
Kim Heecheol, CEO of Hanwha Ocean, stated, "We have secured a backlog of orders equivalent to more than three to four years of work, which is strengthening our competitiveness in the global market. The conclusion of this year's wage negotiations is the result of cooperation between labor and management, allowing us to focus solely on safety and quality, and to build ships with unrivaled competitiveness."
