Mobile Holding Limit Raised to 2 Million Won
Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province will increase the discount rate for purchasing the Sancheong Love Gift Certificate to 15%.
On September 2, the county announced that it would revise its sales policy for the Sancheong Love Gift Certificate in order to revitalize the local economy and reduce the financial burden on residents.
Under this new policy, the discount rate for both paper and mobile Sancheong Love Gift Certificates will be raised from the previous 10% to 15%, and this will be maintained until this year’s budget is exhausted.
In particular, the individual purchase limit will remain unchanged (300,000 won for paper, 400,000 won for mobile), but the personal holding limit for mobile gift certificates will be increased from 1 million won to 2 million won.
The issuance of the gift certificates will proceed as originally planned in September and November in the second half of the year, and any unsold certificates at the end of each month will be carried over for sale in the following month.
County Governor Lee Seunghwa stated, "I hope this policy will inject vitality into the local economy, which has been sluggish due to severe heavy rains, and help reduce living expenses by providing more benefits to residents. We will continue to do our best to develop policies that offer tangible support to our residents."
