16 Youth Drone Soccer Teams to Compete
Gochang County in North Jeolla Province announced on September 2 that the "1st Gochang County Governor's Cup National Youth Drone Soccer Tournament" will be held at the Gochang Flower Garden on September 13.

This is the first time a drone soccer tournament will be held in Gochang, and it will take place in the county's beautiful flower garden. The event has been organized as a comprehensive cultural and sports festival, providing both participants and visitors with a variety of attractions and entertainment.
The tournament will be conducted in accordance with the regulations of the International Drone Soccer Federation (FIDA) and the Korea Drone Soccer Association (KDSA). A total of 16 national youth drone soccer teams (Class 20) will compete. The participating teams will determine the final champion through league matches and a tournament bracket.
Notably, the event is open not only to youth drone soccer teams but also to tourists visiting the Gochang Flower Garden, enhancing the enjoyment for spectators. It is also scheduled to coincide with the Jeonbuk Provincial Sports Festival, offering a wide array of activities for visitors to the region.
County Governor Shim Deokseop stated, "I hope that this first drone soccer tournament in Gochang will spark interest and understanding of drone technology among young people," adding, "I look forward to this meaningful event, where participants can experience and enjoy future sports in harmony with nature at the beautiful flower garden."
