Achieving Top Grade in Operation Assessment
Dankook University announced on September 2 that it has received the highest grade, 'S grade,' for the fifth consecutive year in the 2025 Startup Incubation Center Operation Assessment organized by Gyeonggi Province.
The Startup Incubation Center Operation Assessment is an evaluation that comprehensively assesses eight indicators-including employment and sales growth, startup support linkage, dedicated personnel competency, intellectual property acquisition, investment and funding attraction, and market development-across 48 startup incubation centers in the province, in order to establish criteria for subsidy support.
The Dankook University Startup Incubation Center received high marks in the following areas: activation of government and local government startup support programs for resident companies; outstanding startup support capabilities of dedicated managers; performance in intellectual property registration (including applications) by resident companies; achievements in attracting investment and support funds for resident companies; and participation in support systems for domestic and international market development.
Dankook University supports the entire process from discovering startup ideas to growth for students, faculty, and resident companies with innovative ideas, taking the lead in fostering the startup ecosystem in the southern region of Gyeonggi Province.
Since 2014, starting with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Early Startup Package Project, the university has been consecutively selected for initiatives such as the Specialized Competency Startup Incubation Support Project, the Digital Specialization University for Small Business Owners, and the Regional Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project, thereby expanding its foundation for nurturing startups.
President Ahn Sooncheol stated, "Being selected as an S grade institution for five consecutive years in the Startup Incubation Center Operation Assessment is the result of Dankook University's Startup Incubation Center consistently supporting the growth of resident companies through unique programs," adding, "We will continue to provide intensive coaching and support so that aspiring entrepreneurs and resident companies can grow into small and strong enterprises."
