Lee Sunbin and Seo Kyungduk Promote "Anti-Japanese Heritage Capturing Light" at Home and Abroad

Lee Sunbin and Seo Kyungduk Promote "Anti-Japanese Heritage Capturing Light" at Home and Abroad Actor Lee Sunbin and Professor Seo Kyungduk participated in the Korean narration for the video related to the "Anti-Japanese Heritage Embracing Light."

Professor Seo Kyungduk of Sungshin Women's University and actress Lee Sunbin joined forces to produce a multilingual video related to the special exhibition "Anti-Japanese Heritage Capturing Light" commemorating the 80th anniversary of Liberation. The video, which is 4 minutes and 30 seconds long, was co-produced with the National Heritage Administration and released on September 2. It is available in both Korean and English, reaching audiences both domestically and internationally.

The main content of the video introduces in detail the will of Min Yeonghwan, who left a legacy of determination for sovereignty, the bamboo that grew at the site of martyrdom, and the Taegeukgi, a symbol of independence. It also highlights the Hangul research of Ju Sigyeong and "Malmoi," which were preserved despite Japanese suppression of the Korean language, as well as the "Joseonmal Dictionary Manuscript" by the Korean Language Society, emphasizing these as brilliant cultural heritages of independence.

Professor Seo, who planned the video, stated, "This year, to mark the 80th anniversary of Liberation, we are running a video campaign introducing 'cultural heritage' related to the anti-Japanese independence movement in a series for audiences at home and abroad," adding, "This is the second video in the series." He continued, "I wanted to first introduce anti-Japanese independence cultural heritage online, and then celebrate the 80th anniversary of Liberation together by visiting the offline exhibition."

Lee Sunbin, who participated in the Korean narration, said, "It is meaningful to be able to directly convey anti-Japanese cultural heritage with my own voice," and added, "I hope many viewers, both in Korea and abroad, will watch the video." The special exhibition "Anti-Japanese Heritage Capturing Light," hosted by the National Heritage Administration, will be held at Dondeokjeon in Deoksugung Palace until October 12.
