Special Lecture by Se Ri Pak: "How to Make Challenges a Habit in Life"
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on September 2 that it successfully held the "2025 Gender Equality Week Commemorative Event" at the Ace Hall of City Hall on the afternoon of September 1, with over 500 people in attendance.

Under the theme "A Gender-Equal Society Where Everyone Is Respected, A Happy Yongin Special City for All," the event was organized by the Yongin Branch of the Gyeonggi-do Women’s Association Council. In celebration of Gender Equality Week (September 1-7), it aimed to promote the value of equality and broaden public consensus.
The event featured a variety of programs, including a classical ensemble and musical gala performance, the Gender Equality Award for citizens and organizations, commendations for distinguished contributors, a special lecture by a renowned guest, and promotional booths.
Lee Yunsong, President of the Yongin Branch of the Gyeonggi-do Women’s Association Council, stated, "Women’s organizations will join efforts to build a healthy and happy society where men and women can demonstrate their abilities without discrimination and enjoy equal rights and opportunities."
Ryu Kwangyeol, Second Vice Mayor of Yongin City, said, "We will strive to create a gender-equal society so that all citizens can pursue their dreams in a safe and fair environment."
At the event, former women’s national golf team coach Se Ri Pak delivered a special lecture on the topic "Beyond Fear: How to Make Challenges a Habit in Life." She shared her own experiences of taking on challenges and answered questions from the audience, receiving applause from attendees.
In the lobby of Ace Hall, various booths were set up, including a promotional booth for the Women-Friendly City and Gender Equality Projects, a traveling exhibition by the National Women’s History Museum, a gender equality action tree-making activity, and a slogan photo zone.
