Yangju City Launches Intensive Non-Tax Revenue Collection... Strong Measures Against Major and Habitual Delinquents

The city sent out non-tax revenue delinquency notices and payment request letters on August 10, and plans to encourage voluntary payments through active publicity efforts during the settlement period.

If payments are not made, the city will conduct asset investigations, including vehicles, real estate, and salaries, and proceed with strong enforcement measures such as asset seizures, public disclosure of major delinquent taxpayers, and restrictions on licensed businesses.

In particular, the city will focus on settling vehicle fines, which account for a significant portion of the delinquent amount. Yangju City plans to strengthen license plate seizure activities for vehicles with overdue fines of 60 days or more and outstanding amounts of at least 300,000 won.

An official from Yangju City stated, "For livelihood-driven delinquents, we are considering installment payments and postponement of enforcement, while long-term seized assets with no practical benefit will be excluded from collection efforts. However, for major and habitual delinquents who deliberately evade payment despite having the ability to pay, we will thoroughly trace their assets and collect the outstanding amounts to the end."
